It is very easy to get started with Tarot all by yourself
and make it a part of your life.
- Buy a Tarot deck (mostly a guide book comes along with it). Follow the instructions in the guide book and you are all set to start.
- There are many different kinds available these days; choose any deck that you are attracted to.
- A standard deck has 78 cards with 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana cards divided into 4 suits. Most decks are built on this model. You should probably stick with a standard deck to start so that you get familiar with the most common format and get an insight into the traditional Tarot.
- The Rider-Waite is probably the most common and widely used deck and is based on the traditional format of Tarot. There are newer decks with different themes like the Doreen Virtue Tarot Cards, OSHO Zen Tarot.
- If you go for the Rider-Waite deck or only a deck without a book then it is a good idea to buy a good book along with it like ‘The Tarot Bible’ which is very good and easy to follow. Personally my favorites are Rider- Waite and OSHO Zen Tarot. I do have a few more and I love all of them but I use these two mostly.

doing the readings.

Use only one or two Tarot decks to begin with;
the more you use them the more they will get attuned to your energy.
e. Most of all Keep It Simple.
Always remember, Tarot is not fortune-telling. The
symbolism of the Tarot can provide an insight into the events and feelings in
your life, guidance when we need to make decisions; not answers, but another
perspective on your situation.
Tarot is an invaluable tool for
self-analysis and can help you deal with difficult situations.
